Soojin Chang led us through a workshop contemplating strategies, difficulties, and the pleasures of rest within our art practice.β£
β£We considered how rest (and unrest) sits within each of our individual practices, Asking who gets to rest, what does rest look like and what do we need. We shared honestly about pressures of productivity and looked towards Eastern practices of collective care. β£ We practiced several forms of rest together, followed by practical strategies on prioritising rest when working with organisations/institutions/collaborators/alone. β£
β£Soojin created a slow, honest space where half formed thoughts were actively encouraged, while we hung out on bean-bags all day by candle light. π― β£

This workshop was co-commissioned with Transmission Glasgow. Thank you Soojin, Anika and Transmission. πβ£ Β
